1998–99 Denver Nuggets season

The 1998-99 NBA season was the Nuggets' 23rd season in the NBA and 32nd season as a franchise.〔(1998-99 Denver Nuggets )〕 The Nuggets selected Raef LaFrentz as their third pick in the 1998 NBA Draft. However, LaFrentz struggled with injures and only played twelve games in his rookie season. Antonio McDyess would return to Denver after playing one year with the Phoenix Suns. They also acquired point guard Nick Van Exel from the Los Angeles Lakers. The Nuggets finished sixth in the Midwest Division with a 14-36 record. It was also their last season to be played in McNichols Sports Arena.
